About the conference
NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte is hosting the multiconference ICETE-2026 during 5th to 7th February 2026. ICETE-2026 will have seven International Conferences under its umbrella which have been organized with specific themes pertaining to different departments. The Department of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are jointly organizing International Conference on Materials Science and Mathematics for Advanced Technology (MSMAT-2026) in offline mode. The main scope of MSMAT-2026 is to offer diverse sessions on the on-going developments and applications of materials science in designing modern technology. The conference, empowered by eminent speakers and researchers across the globe, will provide an opportunity for knowledge sharing and discussions on budding technological concepts with frontrunners in the respective fields. The deliberations include keynote addresses and invited talks by scientists around the world, oral presentations by researchers and academicians. The conference establishes multidisciplinary summit that integrate research and education in the vital field of materials science that transcends institutional, industrial, research organization and global barriers.
Scope and Theme of the conference
MSMAT-2026 will attract researchers and academicians in the field of basic sciences and engineering with a basic theme of co-relating applied research with technology. The conference topics covers the thrust areas in basic sciences and engineering such as materials in physical science, energy storage and conversion methods and advances in mathematics.

The Departments of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics were established along with the NMAM Institute of Technology in 1986. All the three Departments have been playing a profound role in providing a strong foundation for engineering curriculum. The Departments are recognized as Research Centres under Nitte Deemed to be University. The Department of Physics is actively involved in research areas such as Condensed Matter Physics, Laser and Photonics, Quantum Field Theory, Crystal Growth, Ion trapping and Atomic Physics. More than 110 research articles have been published in national and international journals. Currently, 7 candidates are pursuing their PhD and 1 candidate awarded doctoral degree from the Research Centre. The Department has also received external research funds from VTU and VGST, GoK. With more than 90 research articles published in reputed journals, the Department of Mathematics has 18 research scholars pursuing their PhD. The research is mainly focused on Graph Theory, Lattice Theory, Group Theory, Algebra, Fluid Dynamics, Tribology and computational methods and statistics. The Department of Chemistry is actively involved in research in the areas like Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Green Chemistry, Nanocoatings, Corrosion Science, Electrochemistry, Energy Storage Devices and Polymer Composites. At present, 16 candidates are pursuing their PhD and 4 candidates have been awarded doctoral degree from the Research Centre. Till date, more than 120 research articles have been published by the Department in journals of national and international repute. Presently, in the Basic Science departments, 41 students are pursuing their Ph.D. in the Research Centres under Nitte Deemed to be University.
